Termites. Workers from Home Paramount will be here starting next week to upgrade termite bait stations with the Sentricon System. The upgrade is being done at no cost to KF-II, and the new system will provide better protection against termites. The Sentricon System has been registered by EPA under the Reduced Risk Pesticide Initiative and is the only termite control produce to receive the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award. The active ingredient controls termites by disrupting a molting process that occurs only in insects and closely-related organisms. The bait stations are in the ground, and access to them requires a special key. The manufacturer, Dow AgraSciences, states that the potential for exposure to humans and pets is much less than with other forms of termite control. You can get information about the Sentricon System at
www.sentricon.com.
Trash. The Montgomery County trash collection will take place on its
regular schedule during the next two weeks.
Parking. Please remember that any vehicle parked in a KF-II parking space must have either:
(1) a parking sticker affixed to the outside of the vehicle or
(2) a guest pass hanging from the rear-view mirror or placed on the dashboard so that the number is visible.
A vehicle without a sticker or pass may be ticketed and towed.
Happy Holidays!
